How does wilderness look like? Traditionally imagined as a realm separate from human presence, wilderness can also be understood as a space shaped by complex entanglements. The works in Board Expanse approach wilderness as a shifting category, questioning the binaries of wild/tame, natural/human, and organic/constructed. Through photography, these hybrid places encourage us to reconsider how we define and inhabit the natural world.
